"Really Disappointing Visit"
I was disappointed, honestly. A lot of the plants looked like they were dying, and the enclosures seemed dirty and not really taken care of. Come on now, if people are coming to visit, the place should at least look like someone is keeping up with it.

"How is this okay for a special event?"
I went for a special event expecting it to feel a bit more organized and worth the extra cost, but it was just messy. The waits were way too long, the staff seemed confused about what was going on, and the whole thing felt poorly handled. At one point I was just thinking, how is this okay for something they’re charging extra for? Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

"Just didn’t have the vibe I was hoping for"
The whole place just felt a bit off to me. I’ve been to similar spots before where you can just wander around, relax, and enjoy the scenery, so I was expecting that kind of calm, day out. Instead, the atmosphere felt kind of dull and a little stressful.
Maybe it’s just not my kind of place, and I’m sure other people might enjoy it, but I left feeling disappointed. It didn’t feel very welcoming or peaceful, and I wouldn’t be in any hurry to go back...

"Staff really put a damper on the visit"
I went to Butterfly World last weekend, and maybe I’m a bit sensitive about customer service, but the staff made the whole thing more stressful than it needed to be. We just had basic questions about tickets and where we were supposed to go, and the replies felt really short, like we were interrupting them or being annoying.
The place itself seemed nice enough, and I’m sure some people have a great time there, but I personally find it hard to enjoy a day out when the staff make you feel unwelcome. We looked lost more than once and no one seemed bothered to help, so it definitely put me off coming back.

I went in hoping to have a nice day, but the place just felt really dirty. The floors were sticky, the bins were overflowing, and the toilets were bad. It’s not even about expecting somewhere to be perfect, it just didn’t feel clean enough to relax and enjoy being there.

"Confusing layout"
I got frustrated with the way the exhibits were set up. We kept looping back to the same areas and the signs didn’t really make things any clearer. A few paths felt too tight while other spots felt kind of empty or just randomly placed. After a while we couldn’t even tell what we had already seen. For what we paid I expected it to be a lot easier to walk through and actually enjoy.

"Left after about an hour feeling uneasy"
I went in thinking it’d be a nice day out, but I left feeling uncomfortable. After maybe an hour or so, it just didn’t feel right to me. A few of the animals and butterflies didn’t seem to have much calm space, and it felt more like they were there for people to take photos than anything else. Maybe other people wouldn’t notice or wouldn’t mind, but for me the welfare side felt like it was only halfway there.

"Not many butterflies, sadly"
I went in excited because the whole reason we visited was to see butterflies, it was kind of a letdown. We only spotted a few, and most of them were way up high, so it didn’t really feel like the experience I was expecting for the price.
The place itself looked nice enough though, so I was trying to stay positive at first. But then I caught myself thinking, wait, why am I making excuses? If butterflies are the main attraction, there should actually be butterflies you can see. For me, it just wasn’t worth it.

I went in hoping to get a real feel for the bird exhibit, but i left a bit disappointed. When I tried asking questions about what was actually included and what to expect, it felt like I was brushed off instead of getting a helpful answer. I wasn’t trying to be difficult, I just wanted someone to share what the experience was really like. It would’ve made a big difference to feel heard.

I’m totally fine, but the plant selection was small and kind of boring. I was hoping for a few more interesting options, but it was mostly just the basics. Not a huge deal, of course... just a little disappointing

"Not the Easiest Place to Walk Around"
I was hoping for a nice, easy walk, but the paths were rough and a bit confusing. Some areas felt cramped, and it wasn’t always easy to get around. Overall, it ended up being more frustrating than relaxing

It was a spot and the butterflies were lovely, but there were so many people around that getting a clean photo was kind of a lost cause. If you're going just to enjoy the place, it's fine, but bringing a camera with high hopes might be another story.

I tried buying tickets with a screen reader and had a frustrating time. Some of the menus were hard to follow, a few buttons weren’t labeled clearly, and getting through checkout was more difficult than it needed to be. I ended up having to ask someone else to help me finish. If you rely on a screen reader, I’d suggest giving yourself extra time or having a backup option ready until they make the site more accessible.

"Pretty disappointing lorikeet visit"
I mainly went for the lorikeets, but it was just not a great experience. The area felt way too crowded, and the birds just didn’t seem interested at all. The staff didn’t really explain much either, so it all felt kind of underwhelming. For the price, I expected better. I left annoyed and probably wouldn’t go back.

I went with my kids and, to be honest, it just didn’t feel very family-friendly. There wasn’t much direction or anything to really help keep younger kids engaged, so we ended up feeling a bit like we were in the way rather than welcome.
It might be fine if you’re going as adults and want a quiet walk around, but if you’re planning a family outing, I’d probably suggest choosing somewhere with more hands-on stuff or clearer kid-friendly activities. My kids got bored quickly, and we left feeling like the day could’ve been spent better elsewhere.

I drove there with my kids, and the parking situation made the whole visit frustrating before we even got inside. We circled around for a while trying to find a spot, and the signs weren’t very clear, especially around the entrance and side lot. With kids in the car getting impatient, it just felt like way more hassle than it was worth.
